Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 7, 2026 · Applies to the CapyLog mobile app and capylog.app

CapyLog is a calm habit tracker published by Rolle Studios. We designed the app so your habits, mood notes, and journal stay on your device whenever possible. This policy explains what data exists, what leaves your phone, and what choices you have.

1. Who we are

Rolle Studios is a micro-enterprise (individual entrepreneur) registered in France.

  • Legal representative: Léo-Paul Chauvigné
  • Headquarters: 61 Rue de Lyon, 75012 Paris, France
  • Contact: contact@rollestudios.com

2. Core principle: on-device by default

CapyLog does not require an account. Your habits, completions, streaks, rest days, mood and energy check-ins, journal notes, urge logs, wardrobe unlocks, language preference, and related settings are stored locally on your device (for example via on-device preferences and local files).

We do not operate a CapyLog user database for habit content. If you uninstall the app without exporting a backup, that local data may be lost.

3. Data you create in the app

  • Habit & pattern data: names, schedules, reminders, completions, streaks, and archives you configure.
  • Wellbeing inputs: mood, energy, journal text, and urge-related notes you choose to log.
  • Preferences: language, week start, life focus, notification toggles, wardrobe/cosmetics, and similar settings.
  • Backups: if you use Backup & transfer, you create an export file that you share or save yourself. We do not receive that file unless you choose to send it to us (for example by emailing support).

4. Notifications

Optional local reminders (morning check-in, evening wrap-up, habit reminders) are scheduled on your device. Notification permission is requested by the operating system. Turning notifications off in system settings or in the app stops those reminders. Reminder content stays on-device.

5. Analytics & crash reporting

CapyLog uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand which features are used and improve the app. It may receive app interaction events, broad technical information, and a pseudonymous app installation identifier. Our analytics events use feature and action categories; they do not include your habit names, journal text, mood notes, or other free-form content.

CapyLog uses Firebase Crashlytics to identify and fix crashes. Crashlytics may receive crash logs, diagnostic information, app version, operating system and device information, and a pseudonymous installation identifier. This information is used for app stability and troubleshooting, not for advertising.

6. Advertising & consent

CapyLog may show advertisements through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob), including app-open ads after the first session of a day. Ad partners may collect device and advertising identifiers and usage signals to deliver and measure ads.

  • Consent (EEA/UK and similar regions): we use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request consent where required before personalized ads.
  • Controls: you can change privacy / ad choices from the app’s Settings (Privacy settings) where the platform provides that option, and from your device’s advertising or tracking settings.
  • Children: CapyLog is not directed at children under 13. Do not use the app if you are under 13.

7. Website

When you visit capylog.app, standard web server and CDN logs (such as IP address, user agent, and pages requested) may be processed by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) to deliver and secure the site. The marketing site does not require a login.

8. What we do not do

  • No CapyLog account sign-in (Google/Apple/email) for core habit tracking.
  • No cloud sync of your habit journal to Rolle Studios servers.
  • No sale of your habit or mood content.
  • We do not ask for contacts, precise location, photo library, or microphone access for core features.

9. Legal bases (GDPR) & other rights

Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we act as controller for limited processing related to the app and website (for example providing the service you request, showing ads with consent where required, and responding to support emails you send).

  • Access / correction / deletion: for on-device data, you control it directly in the app (edit/delete habits, clear content, uninstall, or restore from your own backup).
  • Support emails: if you contact us, we process the message contents to reply; ask us to delete that correspondence when you no longer need it.
  • CCPA / similar: we do not sell personal information. Ad personalization, where applicable, is handled through the consent/privacy tools described above.
  • DPO / privacy contact: Léo-Paul Chauvigné — contact@rollestudios.com

10. International transfers

Analytics, crash reporting, advertising, and infrastructure partners (for example Google and Cloudflare) may process technical data in countries outside your own. Those providers apply their own safeguards and privacy terms.

11. Changes

We may update this policy when the app or our practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
